For participants via the Kansai airport

In Kansai airport, after going through customs, you will arrive at the passenger hall of the International North Arrival Gate. There you will find a sign showing the logo of IXS2007 and two people wearing the IXS2007 badge. They will guide you to the bus terminal and help you buy your bus ticket (8:15 AM - 8:30 PM).

The bus usually goes nonstop to the San-no-miya bus terminal in Kobe, (Some make a stop at Rokko-island), located right next to the San-no-miya train station.  You need to change the bus here. There will be no stop between the airport and San-no-miya. Once you get the San-no-miya bus terminal, two people with the IXS 2007 badge and the sign will help you get on the bus heading for the ‘Awaji-Higashi-Ura Ebus terminal.

The bus will make several stops between Kobe and Awaji. Please get off the bus at ‘Awaji Yume-butai Mae E(after getting over a big bridge). You will easily find the ‘Hotel Westin Eas it is the highest building there. The welcome party will be being held in the ‘Yume-butai conference hall E which is located next to the Hotel Westin.

It costs about 2,700 yen to travel from Kansai airport to Awaji International Conference Center by bus. If you take a taxi, it will cost 35,000 yen. (You could share with 2-4 people.) We will be in the airport and San-no-miya to help you from 8:15 am to 8:30 pm, i.e., the available hours of the buses.

For participants via other airports

If you come to Japan through other airports, we recommend you to take an express train, Shin-kan-sen, to get to JR Shin-Kobe station. When getting off the Shinkan-sen, you will be in the second floor. Please come down to the bus stop (Track number, 1), which is located in the first floor, to take a bus heading for the ‘Awaji, Higashi-ura Ebus terminal. We are sorry that nobody will be arranged to help you in Shin-Kobe. However, it is not difficult to take the bus since the station has a simple structure.

The bus will make several stops between Kobe and Awaji. Please get off the bus at Awaji Yume-butai Mae (after getting over a big Bridge). You will easily see the “Hotel Westin Eas it is the highest building there. The welcome party will be being held in the Yume-butai conference hall, which is located next to the Hotel Westin. It costs about 900 yen to travel from Kansai airport to Awaji island by bus. If you take a taxi, it will cost 17,000 yen. (You could share with 2-4 people.)
